About

Cupcake lady

Why hello.

My name’s Meghan. I love to cook & eat. I love to create things. I love to travel.

I was born in New York and transplanted to North Carolina via Seattle. I’ve also lived in Washington, D.C. and London. I graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill in May 2011. Two weeks later, I moved to Munich for the summer. After living in NYC for two years, I’m back in North Carolina.

My mom is the foodiest, craftiest mom a girl could ask for. My earliest memories include her mashing up homemade applesauce and sewing dresses for my Cabbage Patch dolls. It’s only fair that I carry on the tradition.

This space is where I tell the story of my nest–my humble abode and the inspiration I find in the world around me. Sometimes it’ll be homemade recipes, sometimes craft projects, sometimes new places I discover. I support local farms, buy organic products whenever possible, and try to repurpose items that I find.

I hope you join me on my journey to live green-ly and deliciously on a small budget.

Oh, and if you’re interested, you can read about my semester in London here. Same concept, different country.
